where to buy bras online

Options

I've looked at the recent thread recommending comfortable mastectomy bras and found that extremely helpful. So I'll throw this out there - can anyone recommend a website to order online? I did order a couple of bras and didn't have a wonderful experience with the site I used so I'm hoping to find a better one. Thanks!

I normally use Park Mastectomy.  I have found them to be helpful whenever I have a question.

I've used a few different sites over the years, and have been happy both price and service wise with www.metromedicalonline.com. They also have a good selection of breast forms - although I would only order replacements after I've been fitted and used one from a "real" place.  But after that, their prices are much lower than what I've found at land based stores.

Check out the "Post-Mastectomy Products Online" in the Helpful Links (http://breastfree.org/viewer.php?num=5) section of my non-profit website, BreastFree.org. I have links to the sites mentioned above and a number of others. I learned about most of them from women here at breastcancer.org.

I've used all three of the ones mentioned above and have had good service from all of them (and usually better prices than retail shops).

I have found the best bras at www.jcpenney-jodee.com. They have some that are preformed and they are so comfortable. The style I get are $129.00 for a uni but are well worth the money. Everything else i have tried feels like I have something pressing into my chest and just weren't comfortable.  If you call the number, the counselors are very helpful in figuring out which size you need.

I'm looking for a leisure or sleeping type bra to wear the times I have stay over company and must present myself in my pj's and robe.  :o)  Don't want to look lopsided.

I'd like one that I could just wear to bed and not have to change clothes again.

    Any suggestions....???....Thanks.

I love the Elita #8868 bra. Very soft microfiber (softer than the cotton version); non-scratching stitching, pockets. Don't know why they call it a "camisole," though. I've ordered from HerRoom.com several times and have been very satisfied.

I second Lunakin -- I think the Elita 8868 is a wonderful bra (and not a camisole). I wear it with my Silique Comfort Lites. I think various other forms would work well with it, too. I haven't yet included it on BreastFree.org, but will soon...

Erica, I love your breastfree website! So informative.

I've worn the Elita 8868 with my silicone form and it balances nicely (I'm a uni mx). But with my micro-bead form the foob floats higher than my real breast -- so a weighted form is best.

I was curious if there is any forum for the private sale/purchase of compression garments, if someone already knows what size they need?

I actually received a glove and compression sleeve back when I had breast lymphedema "just in case" it was to get worse and affect the arm and/or hand as well. Luckily, this never happened, and I'm well over a year past surgery.  Neither garment has even been removed from its original box.  I'd love to sell them to someone who could benefit from having them... and I'd be happy to give someone a good discount off of retail prices, since they are of absolutely no benefit for me.

Please let me know if you have any ideas -- ebay seems like a bad idea, since these items are for such a specific condition.

    Thanks,

    Barb

I might be able to help ... Comfy Posture Solutions has mastectomy bras.  They have a pocket for a prothesis.  Usually we recommend "Been-A-Boob".  They are limited distributors and it is always best to try the bra on first but if necessary, the bra can be shipped anywhere.  Using photos and walking your through the measurement, perhaps this may be an option for you to consider.

Just checked these out. Problem being I am an A cup, even though they are both prosthesis, maybe it doesn't matter?
