    OK I'm a stage 1 ER+/PR+ grade 2 and taking Tamox but don't like the SE. Just wondering how many stage 1 ER+/PR+ Her- grade 2 have actually had a reoccurance??I guess I'm just looking to see if with stage1 has as many reoccurances.

    There are two reasons to take Tamox- to prevent local (another breast cancer) and distant recurrence (mets). Stage 1 has a lower chance of recurrence than 2 or 3, but the chance is still there. I  have stopped taking Tamox as well-not sure yet if for good or just a break. My SE's were not that horrible, but I missed my sex life. If you decide to stop, there are natural things you can do- look into estrogen/hormone balance and iodine supplements.

    THat's right I forgot about sex life which has been none existent since I found out I had BC. My poor husband...

    None for me either :(  Most of the time I try and fake it...my husband sees right through that!  I've been taking Tamox since 7/08 and I would love a break or perminent vaca...my onc doesn't want me to though.  I have hot flashes and have had a bout with thickening endrometrial lining :(  Onc said if the lining continues to be thick she may decide to have me stop Tamox?? Scary..
