Great Opportunity for Two-Time Cancer Survivors

Hello Survivors!

The Stanford Patient Education Research Center is excited to announce that we are now recruiting more cancer survivors into our 6-week, support-driven, highly interactive online workshop and study. After running a successful study for first time survivors, we have received additional funding from the Stanford Cancer Center. We are now exclusively recruiting nationwide survivors who have been diagnosed and successfully treated for a recurring or second cancer.

What is the new study all about?

Cancer: Surviving and Thriving is a 6-week workshop and study for cancer survivors who have survived cancer more than once. This program teaches cancer survivors the skills needed in the day-to-day management of life after cancer and gives skills to take control of their health. Participants learn ways to manage fatigue, difficult emotions, and after effects of cancer treatment. They also connect with other cancer survivors online. Qualified participants will be randomly assigned to either participate in the workshop immediately or to a control group that will take the workshop in 6 months. Participants are asked to log into the study web site 2-3 times during each week, for a total of 2 hours a week for 6 weeks.
