Im wanting to know, if someone has had a masectomy, and recieved full treatment in the form of radiation and or chemo. Whats the chances of the same type of chemo coming back? How many of you have had the same type come back sooner?

I think it depends on your individual circumstances. In my case, stage1, grade3, they told me my chance of recurrence with bilateral mastectomy and no further treatment would be 30%. With the chemo it went down to about 20%. The heceptin reduces it further but the actual amount is unknown since it is new for early stage BC. Estimated that the chances with that would put it to about 10%.

You posted that you are stage 1, grade 2 so I would assume your recurrence rates would be lower than mine since I am grade3.

Hello! I finished my chemo and I am cuuently doing herceptin every three weeks until Dec. I had some problems with my reconstruction so I am still doing surgeries to fix it.
