Diagnosed today but confused

Today my doctor called to say I had DCIS. She said that complete pathology wasn't in, but I had intraductal, micro invasion, with lobular characteristics. None of the other information is available yet in terms of Estrogen receptor, etc..
What does all that mean? I am seing a breast surgeon tomorrow.
Please help.

I don't have a lot of answers for you, but you probably would get a lot more responses on the DCIS thread (this is LCIS--they are different and treated differently). Good luck to you.
