Time to include Mucinous Carcinoma on this site?

I have been reading the input of people with mucinous breast carcinoma on this site. Although this may be a rare form of cancer, accounting for about 2% of all breast cancers, it is obviously of great comfort to those afflicted to have somewhere to find out about this form of the disease and to discuss concerns with other contributors who are similarly affected.

One lady commented in May that there is no area on this site for people to input this type of cancer in their profiles on this board. Neither is there any area offering anything other than very basic information on this form of cancer. I notice that this is still the case.

Because it is so rare, it is extremely difficult for patients to find sufficient information to give them the knowledge to make an informed decision about treatment options.

Given recent research findings (www.medscape.com/viewarticle/714088)highlighting a more unfavorable outcome than previously thought, is it not now time for this to be remedied?

Perhaps an area with information on some of the rarer forms of cancer could be included - what do others think?

agree! Not sure how to go about it (site moderators?) but I think it's a great idea.

I hope that the site moderators will take note and put my proposition to the powers that be.

Those of us with rare forms of cancer feel especially isolated because it is so difficult to get reliable information about them.

There is a paucity of literature on the subject of rare cancers and, even chat rooms or forums have fewer people affected with these strains to share their experiences.
