Getting a Tattoo

Options

I am sure this is the dumbest thing anyone has posted on this board, but I am wondering if anyone had a tattoo done while undergoing radiation therapy.  Not the radiation tattoos but a tattoo for yourself?   I have an appointment to have a tattoo in September, but I won't be done with rads then and I am wondering if it is a good idea to upset my immune system anymore by having a tattoo then?  Thanks.

I got a tattoo after I finished treatment.  You should ask your oncologist for a recommended time frame.  Also, any good tattoo artist will give you good advice as well.  I waited about 7 months after I finished chemo.

However, tattoo causes pain, and in some parts of the body causes more pain than in the other. Although the tattoo will not be painless, there are parts of the body that are especially sensitive to this kind of decoration - body parts with more nerve endings or parts where there is no meat, just bone and skin.
