    I had DCIS 2 years ago.  All seems to be fine.  A close friend just found out she has IDC, stage 2.  I'm going to accompany her to Oncologist on Monday.  What questions should we be asking?

    I've got a few thoughts based on my experience, but wanted input from others who have had a similar problem.

    Ask what her ER/PR/HER status is and ask about getting an OncoType. Preparing a tx plan is tough without knowing those things.

    This is good information since I was never advised on a lot of the nuances on my own, I couldn't help with that part. 

    I found out my type, stage and grade but nobody ever gave me the rest of the information.  (Well, several months later my gyn said that it was estrogen reactive, but no more than that.)  

    Its good to have friends out here who can help me help my friend.  You guys have helped me in the past when I got real scared before my 1st mamo last year --- 2nd is coming up next month and so far I'm doing fine with it.
