Radiotherapy waiting list

Hi everyone,

I'm getting mixed messages from my hospital and I wondered if anyone could help me?

I had a lumpectomy on 16^th June for a small grade 2 tumour. I don't need chemotherapy but I will need radio. The oncologist said I need radio within 6-8 weeks of the operation or the chance of reoccurrence starts to rise quickly. However the radio team said that it doesn't matter. I'm not booked in until mid Sept, which is over 8 weeks. Should I be worried?

You might want to get a second opinion on this. Is there another facility in your area you can use?
