Makeup, specifically foundation

OK, I've been trying to use only paraben free products on my skin. Much to my chagrin, I now have a pimply face. I have a plan to visit my dermo to see what I can do about the outbreak, but am also looking for a good foundation that ACTUALLY COVERS. I used to use Lancome, and am currently using Physicians Formula. I manage to get my skin looking *okay* with PF and some PF powder on top, but I am sad that I cannot get the coverage I crave!!

I know this is a bit shallow, but I really want to have smooth looking skin and no acne! I am open to your suggestions!!!

What about mixing a mineral powder with a face cream that has no phtalates or parabens?

try regular old aspirin crushed up fine and mixed in with your makeup.  Aspirin was the compound found in willow bark tea.   It does inhibit bacteria growth.
