I was diagnosed with IDC last year  i have bilateral mastictomy finished my TCH protocol + radiation then compleated the year with herceptin .In my first appointment for follow up after finishing my treatment  i showed my doctor  alump i had noticed right above the scar line , he  claimed for piop ....they  told me that it is local recurrence ...ooooh no  now im angry desprate upset scared to death ...... any way im going to have CT scan and some test to see if it  has gone further  ....any one who experienced this nightmare ? what next ?  what is the more recent therapies ?

Had the same thing happen, had mastectomy, was staged 11b and had lapatinib for a year instead of herceptin. Lump appeared near scar line, cancer, am now on taxotere and herceptin and am stage iv. hoping to cintrol it as they say its incurable now. Mine cannot be operated on cos too many lumps now, they increased rapidly. Hopefully taxotere will control them. Best wishes on your scan, maybe yours is confined to just the one lump.
