    Hello/Good Morning:

I start Radiation next week 7 long weeks, like a full time job.

He told me I can't swim (I have a pool) but I have read that you can as long as you don't stay in the water long and shower when you get out...

    Anyone swim while having treatment????

Also he said I will be tired but that should be it, but I have read other's having problems.

    Thank you so much

    Julie

I was told also about tattoo's what do they do to put them on??? I forgot to ask the question.  I go tomorrow for my CT and everything else, then he said he will make a treatment plan and I should start within a week...Does this sound right, all this is new to me.

I had a list of questions but forgot them..My sister just passed away on Father's day.  She went to be at 12:00am and died at 12:18, they said it was her heart 56 never sick, I'm still in shock so my mind is not working right at the moment.

    Thanks again

    J

I read on another thread that one woman is a devoted swimmer and her radonc allowed her to swim as long as she immediately took off the wet suit and moisterized. They put the tatoos on during the final planning session. It consists of them marking your skin with a magic marker then pricking you with the sterile needle (very small).

RE: fatigue, it didn't really hit me until I was about half-way. What I did was exercise daily, which helps. then when the fatigue hits you really have no warning, it just whams you. So what I did was immediately lie down or sit back in a chair and close my eyes and let myself drift. After 15-30 min. I was fine. When I only had 3 tx to go, I would have to do this 2/day. I finished last Friday and yesterday was the first day I had no fatigue. We'll see if that was a fluke or not.
