Breast pain, pink and warm!

No sure where to post this! Lumpectomy, chemo, rads, completed December 09. On Friday, I started to have pain in my bad boob. Now it is pink and warm to the touch. If I don't move, there is no pain, but it bothers me turning over at night, lifting my arm etc. It is a bit better with a bra on - feels more contained somehow. Anyone else any experience with this?

Sounds like an infection Gilly -- call your PS or your BS?  No implant, I know... but pink and warm is usually a sign of infection.

I agree with Lilah. don't let it go to long. The sooner you start treating it the better.

Infection is the most likely cause, BUT (and I don't mean to scare you) Inflammatory Breast Cancer also presents with those symptoms and people do get IBC after they have had "regular" breast cancer.  Don't let it go.  Get it check out ASAP.  My IBC symptoms popped up overnight.  Good luck.

Gill - call the onc, there are so many things it could be, but it's better to be safe.
