Ganoderma - Good or bad?

Options

My holistic doctor has me on a Shiitake and Ganoderma blend.  Both have powerful anti-tumor properties- I found a great article in an oncology magazine that extensively tested ganoderma against various breast cancer tissues and cells, including ERPR postive/her neg, which is what mine is.  This article was dated 2006 and proved that ganoderma helped to block the estrogen receptors as well as contributed to tumor shrinkage in other cancers.  It is now being used in Japan as a first line of treatment in some cancers because it has a good success rate.

However then I read another article from 2009 that said that ganoderma has been shown to have estrogen like properties and should be avoided by er postive bc patients.  I can't remember where this article was from - it was more of a lay person's article than from a journal like the first one.   I guess I'll know more when I see the oncologist (maybe).

Just wondering if anyone has holistic doctors who are using ganoderma in their BC treatment.....
