Cancer Counselor Suggestions ?

I'm trying to find a reference about free cancer counseling that you can call an 800 number to get a referal for a cancer counselor in your area.  I read about it on one of the threads (maybe a different forum) and wrote it down and now I can't find my little piice of white paper.  Does anybody know about this service?

    try the american cancer society.  they have a list of counselors and may know of any that are free.

    Also try the nearest big cancer center in your area as well as your own breast surgeon.  My breast surgeon referred me to my therapist.  And many of the cancer centers have lists of  counselors who specialize in cancer patients.  Good luck.
