so disappointed

today i had my appointment with the oncologist.  i was hoping to finally get some answers and course of treatment, (seeing as i have been getting the run around since march 5).  i had my surgery on june 15 and the oncologist called to get the results to see if my pathology report came back hormone positive or her2+.  they did not have the results, the nodes and breast tissue were sent out on june 24th (9 days after the surgery).  the oncologist was livid.  also they never did a ct scan or anything to look for metastisis.  luckily i will get a ct scan tomorrow morning and am still waiting for a breast mri ,mug and bone scan.  she wants this to all be done within the next two weeks.  she said that i should have not waited any longer than 3 weeks from the first mammo to treatments.  unfoirtunately she cannot tell me the protocal until they get the results from everything else.  now my big fear is that, how far has this spread?  i have idc in the right breast and 5 out of 8 nodes infected. also the left breast may have something in it. she said that it is very invasive for someone my age(45).  i am so scared tha it has spread elsewhere:(!!!

rackie:  Waiting is the hardest part, isn't it? Your mind can play all kinds of games on you. Try not to get ahead of yourself or your doctors. Hope you get some good news soon.
