Anyone tried Women to Women Supplements?

Options

I have been diagnosed with osteopenia/mild osteoporosis.  My onc. wanted me to go on bisphosphinate (sp?) last April.  I declined.  I've been taking calcium, magnesium, Vitamin D for two years now.  I just have an uneasy feeling about Boniva and others in that family.

I found this "Women to Women" website and they have a line of supplements to supposedly heal and reverse your bone loss.  I just wondered if anyone had tried these supplements and what their reaction was.

I would welcome suggestions as to what I can do before next scan, or am I being foolish in not taking Boniva, Fosamax, etc.?

 Thanks.

    Hi Pat,

Has your doctor said anything about Reclast?  It's a once a year infusion - I have had my third infusion this year and I am similar to you - not yet osteoporosis, just osteopenia.  Honestly, I have not had any problems from it.  You might want to look into this as a compromise.

    Hi Pat,

Women to Women's program for bone health is connected with Dr. Susan Brown of Better Bones. Here's an explanation of how the program works: Better bone health, naturally There is also a call line to speak with someone directly (and ask questions!):  1-800-798-7902 Good luck! I find Dr. Brown's take on bone health to be both practical and empowering. Here's another good article from Women to Women that explains more about the nature of osteoporosis and osteopenia.
