Ovarian Cancer after Breast Cancer?

I'm a 36 year old 2 year survivor from HER2 negative, ER and PR positive invasive lobular carcinoma. I tested negative for BRACA 1 and 2, but because of strong family history (including an uncle), my doctors believe I have a genetic mutation on some gene.

I had a PET scan done 2 weeks ago and my only ovary (I had a hysterectomy/oopherectomy leaving my right ovary for hormone reasons) lit up on the scan. They did a CA125 blood test that showed very low levels for ovarian cancer, but am being referred to a gynocologist-oncologist for further evaluation.

Just wondering if anyone else out there was diagnosed pre-menopausally with breast cancer, then was diagnosed with primary ovarian cancer....

killertatas - sorry I am still going through chemo for breast cancer but I do know that next summer my drs already want me to have a full hysterectomy/ooph. I do have the BRCA1 gene though and my mother had both breast and ovarian cancer. They were even trying to talk me into having one before I my cancer was found.

Hope everything goes ok for you - it is really a struggle to find something like this after going to another type of cancer. Best of luck and (((Hugs))).
