just wanted to let you know my mom was diagnosed at the same age, had lumpectomy, radiation, took tamoxifen for 5 years and is now a survivor of over 23 years without a recurrence. So there are happy endings...

. . . thank you Anne, for your words of encouragement - & HOPE! - & your mom is blessed to have a godly daughter in you! - where are YOU in your "journey"?! (do I understand correctly, both you & your mom have had a BC diagnosis?!) - give my best to your mom!

Hi, I'm 57 also. Diagnosed at 53; did chemo, rads and am on arimidex. I really got serious about the exercise component of health after all this and look good (I think), feel great, am having lots of fun (allowing myself to do things I would have been afraid to try before), and am absolutely enjoying life! Hang in there. You have been through a hard, hard experience and need time to process the whole thing but things will get easier and better as you move away from it. Best of luck! Ruth
