I am New and Scared!

I just found out earlier this month that my mom has BC. She decided for a double mas, which she just got yesterday. Tumor is 1.2cm.. Lymph nodes "look" good they said. We are obviously still waiting for results from all testing. I am having a very hard time.

Hi Chelebelle- Iam so very sorry that your mom has BC I know how hard this must be for you. Sounds like the tumor is small and she got it early which is good, Going thru chemo and masectomy's is never fun but doable and we all get thru it, I know your mom will too. she is lucky to have a caring loving daughter to help her get thru this. Im glad you found this site, hopefully we can all give you support and answers any time you need us we will be here for you or your mom if she decides to come here. Hi Chellebelle.  I remember when my Mom was diagnosed, I was 19 crazy scared too.  I am 53 now, Mom just celebrated her 77th birthday on Tuesday!  Breathe, do something loving even if it's just listening and enjoy each day with your Mom.  I hope my experience helps you relax and gives you confidence while your Mom beats this thing.  It makes me think of a song my kids learned in pre-school:  4 Hugs a Day That's the Minimum.  With Caring, Donna
