During  my chemotherapy treatment, apart from fresh fruit , vegetable juices, I took food supplements in the form of liquid (Indian Noni), multivitamin tabs, Sellenium, Bio-C  from Amway which was quite helpful. I still continue  these supplements till today  after  a break of 1 month in between alongwith Arimidex. May be because of all these supplements, I am not feeling hungry all the time. But now I have decided  to eat normal food concentrating on seasonal vegetables and fish. I dont like oily and spicy food, so most of the meal is cooked  by boiling or steaming without oil and spice. My doctor says no supplements, but  I like to have . If you have any receipe without oil and masala  in your store post it for me , so that I can try .

I don't know if this helps, but I like fish with a little lemon juice on it, and some (non-spicy) herbs, like rosemary or thyme.  I also like fish with a fresh orange "salsa," on the side, it's not spicy but I don't know if it would appeal to you or not, if you think you're interested I'll post the recipe for you.  Let me know.  It's quite easy and the citrus is really nice with steamed or broiled fish.

I also like brown rice with just about anything.  Some of my favorite meals are simply brown rice and whatever vegetable I have on hand -- right now I have local fresh garden peas and some kale -- or brown rice and just about any bean.  Gives me a good dose of whole grains and veggies, doesn't feel "heavy" to eat, but it is satisfying.

One of my favorite summer veggie combinations is garden-fresh tomatoes stewed with fresh green beans -- normally I don't like to cook my veggies too much but this is one of those recipes where it really takes on a wonderful flavor when the two veggies are simmered together awhile.  Again, I like this over brown rice.

I'll think some more to see if I can come up with anything else.

I will give you a recipe that I "invented" myself.

Get some tuna or salmon fillet or steak, a small ginger root, a tablespoon of honey, the juice from half a lemon and the zest from half a lemon.

Peel the ginger, grate it on the small grater, and then squeeze the juice in a glass or a cup. Discard the root shavings. Mix in the ginger juice, the honey, lemon juice and lemonzest.

    Set aside.

Grill the fish nicely. Set it on a plate, and drench it in the ginger sauce you have mixed. Alternately, you can baste the fish - half an hour to an hour before grilling it  - in half of the mix, then pour the remaining mix in the plate after you grill it.

It's a totally "orgasmic" food (sorry, but this is what me and my girlfriends call food that is is so absolutely heavenly that it almost makes you orgasm, lol).

It works very nice on shrimp as well, I only tried it on shrimp shish-kebabs, using large shrimp (not jumbo), pieces of pineapple slices, orange slices and mint leaves, then basted the whole thing with the mix, and some poured on top after they were grilled. When using on shrimp I make a much larger quantity of the mix.

I hope you will enjoy it as much as me and my friends do.

We don,t have fresh salmon or tuna fish , but I will buy  fresh local fish  and try  with your receipe in the dinner. Since I am having  problem  in appetite, i think  changes  with a different taste  will be good. So you keep on sending me  various receipe , simple one. So that, I can enjoy it in between  my daily  intakes. I also will try  to post  few more  out of my experience.

snehlata some oils are good for you but you must use them sparingly or you will put on weight. Olive oil is one of them. I use this many times when a recipe calls for butter.

I love many vegetables with a little olive oil and garlic (spinach, broccoli, even potatoes). Broccoli is also good steamed with a little balsamic vinegar.

Do you eat chili powder if it is not spicy? Chili and lime juice is delicious on fish. And do you have access to smoked paprika? If so, try that as well. Simple but delicious. I serve it over greens, plus millet or barley, sometimes brown rice.

    Try this fish recipe.
