My sis had DCIS 7 yrs ago. Lumpectomy, radiation. All fine. Then, at her annual mammogram they saw something in the OTHER breast.- she went back for ulatrasound yesterday, the radiologist herself came out & palpated her breast, a lot, could not feel a thing  but could see something on the US - what?  looked like a little round peppercorn.  Sis now must go for fine needle biopsy. No calcifications, so, to me at least, no suspicion of DCIS or IDC. Neither of us know anything about cysts or other types of BC. Anyone have this experience? any ideas?

A cyst will appear like a black "spot" on US. If it apprears whitish in color, or gray, could be something else...only a biopsy will tell for sure.  Good thing she is getting it checked out. I wish her the best!
