Advice for a novice on vitamin B3 and coq 10, others

Options

Hi to all,

I am at high risk for BC.  I have ALH and my mother had BC in her 30's.  I am monitored every 6 months.  I work out everyday and eat as organic as possible.

I would like to start a regimen with the vitamins that may help with prevention.

What are the effective doses for B3, coq 10 and iodine?

Are there any others I should know about?

I appreciate any assistance!

You might want to ask your question also on Natural Girls where more people will see it.

Hi, I noticed your post as I was looking through the pages.  I am sorry that you have not really gotten much of a response.  I think it is great that you are looking into how to try to prevent it. Making life changes is wonderful and a good start!

One Vit. that you should have checked (a simple blood test) and take more of is Vit. D3.  It helps prevent breast cancer and also heart problems as well as bone health, also can aid you from not getting sick when everyone around you is sick.  You can get it from having sun exposure or a supplement that you can take which can help raise the number too.  There is a thread already started on this board that has LOADS of info about it!

I am not aware what Vit B3 and CoQ10 does.  I have tried taking the CoQ10 and it gave me bad headaches, so I had to stop using it.

I had palps with coq10 when I first started taking it. Now I can take 100 mg and it gives me energy. You can google CoQ10 and breast cancer. I think I read the therapeutic dose is 400 mg.
