A tribute to my wife
My wife (anita) found a lump in her breast back in 2004. Although at first she was told that the lump was definitely not cancer; after being sent for a biopsy the oncologist changed her daignosis.
I'm sure everyone knows what happens next; Anita went through the chemo, surgery and radio. Not to mention the worry or sickness. What gets me is that she wanted to get better not for herself bur for me (her husband) and her niece.
Nearly 5 years on from my wifes treatment she found an abrasion on her reconstructed breast; scans found that the cancer had not gone but had spread to liver and lungs. So, back on to chemo; every 3 weeks for 4 courses then a scan. Each time the scan showed condition was getting worse. But each time she tried a new chemo treatment...
The thing is, Anita would be very ill for a week after having chemo but then go back to work for the following 2 weeks and she carried on doing this for 14 months until her oncologist told her that there was nothing else he could do. At this time the cancer had spread to her spine and she was now in a lot of pain.
My wife passed away last Friday and I miss her so much, even now I think she will be upstairs when I go to bed... But it's about my wife and how brave, strong and determined she has been. And I love her so much

What a kindness to share her strength and courage with us.
Now we send you our encouragement and a reminder of her strength. She would be so happy to know that you have shared a teeny glimpse of her story here with us.
In that way her courage lives on.

Anita was a strong, brave woman. She was blessed to have a husband who loved her so much. She probably drew some of that strength from your love.
I am sorry for your loss. I will pray for you and for your family.

Oh, I have tears running down my face. Thank you so very much for writing this, for sharing your feelings and sorrow and allowing us into your life at this time.
I wish I had words to ease your pain, but all I can do is offer you a very heartfelt long distance hug. What a wonderful woman, Anita, and I hope, that in time, your sorrow will be lightened in knowing how very much you were/are loved by her. I do believe she will be with you always, your very special angel.
Many blessings and light to you

Seals, that is truly a beautiful tribute. I'm sure your wife had a strong spirit to walk her through but I'm sure that your love and support helped her continue to dig deeper as well. I wish you peace in the light of your angel.

hi Seals, so sorry for your loss, I lost my mother a month ago and I know how you feel, losing someone so important in life is something awful, am very sad, but the only thing that conforts me is that she's not in pain, but resting in peace, away from this horrible sickness, so is your wife Anita, now she's looking after you from heaven, I wish you peace in your heart and God bless you
