Anyone get second BRCA testing?

    I would call a genetic counselor and ask.  You never know!  Good luck! :)

    It sounds like your gen onc is considering a "BART" BRCA test. It isn't a repeat of your old test. BART is an add-on using a different technology to look for a different type of BRCA mutations, which might change the length of your genes and throw the old DNA technologies off course. "BART mutations", sometimes known as "large deletions" or "genomic rearrangements", are rare. That's why few women recieve this additional test. But sometimes, family history of cancer is really strong, and regular genetic tests couldn't find any cause... and then the questions comes, "Maybe there is something only BART could see"?
