Have justed started my radiation, today was my 3 session. I also go to a Naturopathic Ongologist as I am getting Vit. C Infusions once a week plus injections of Iscador.  My doctor is now suggesting that I have 10 sessions of Hyperbaric Therapy as it will help greatly with radiation.  I had a lumpectomy done with clear margins and 5 lymph nodes removed that were negative.  Has anyone else tried any of the above treatments?

papaya, I had treatments in 05, long before I'd ever heard of vitamin c infusions.  If you're going to someone who recommends them, I'd say you're sooo lucky to have such an erudite practitioner!  It makes me curious where you live.  If I ever find a doctor I'd like to see, I feel reasonably certain I'll have to travel to get an appointment.

Hi,  Sorry to say I am a long way from Texas.  I live just outside of Vancouver BC Canada.

I have two great oncologists, one is medically trained and the other is a nautrapathic board certified doctor. When I was first diagnosed  I was  told that my first option was to have Chemo, Radiation Therapy and Hormone Therapy.  I declined the chemo even thou I am HER2 positive.  I had a lumpectomy with clear margins and 5 lymph nodes removed which were negative, I am now having radiation, this being my 4th session.  I have Vitamin C infusions, Iscador injections weekly and give myself B12 shots twice a week. I take a multi-vitamin, 20 mg. Melatonin, 8,000 iu of Vit. D  plus EGCG and Can-Arrest. twice a day and I feel pretty good. I guess only time will tell how this will all work out .I have a slight heart problem so I am not willing to put toxins in my body. The percentage of benefit of having only hormonal therapy or combined Chemo & Hormonal is just over 3%. Thus the reason i opted out of chemo.

Hello, just wondering where do you go for your Vitamin C infusions and Iscador injections? Do you know how much they cost? My mom is in a similar situation and we live in Vancouver. Who are your oncologists and naturopaths?  Thanks so much!

I go to the Integrated Health Clinic in Fort Langley. Its a great clinic with wonderful doctors and

staff. They have a web site that you could go to and  I highly recommend them. Lots of information for you to read.

I have been reading about alternative treatments and have been reading your info. I walked out on chemo treatment Monday afternoon. The AC treatment, the red fluid, was causing a major burn and itch as it moved up the vein in my hand towards my elbow. I made them stop, pull the needle out left thinking -I'm done with this. I always feel like everyone is seated in the stands waving me on with chemo but something inside says it's the wrong thing to do.

Have been reading about the injections of C being successful? Is this what the cancer centers use to help BC patients? If so where do you go to get them?

 Hi Jazz,

The naturopath clinic I went to specialized in patients with all cancers.  My oncologist knew my naturopath doctor who is a Certified Naturopahic Oncologist and they do some work together.

 I did a year and a half of Vitamin C infusions.  I went weekly for a year and twice a month for the next six months.  It will be 2 years in January that I was first diagnosed with cancer. Had a digital mamagram this year  which was clear.

I 'm on heart medication now as the radiation did some damage and I also have high blood pressure, which is all under control.  All in all I'm feeling pretty good.

Do a lot of research to find the right Certified Naturopath that specializes in Cancers.

paypaya what is the Iscador injections?

 I give myself B12 shots too, I also take D2 50,000 iu's, X2 times a wk. I starting Vit. C IV's next week.   You say you take D3, did your doctor prescribe this for you? I hear D3 is better then D2.  I alos have CLL cancer and can't seem to get my D3 level up with the D2.  What does your  Nautrapathic doctor recomment your D3 with cancer be at?  Mine recommends around 80 to 100. I  also taking Thorne Merivaa-500 curcumn, Vital Green tea Extract 80% 275 mg. , Throne Pesticide Protector..

I was originally diagnosed stage I.  I recently had a PET scan and biopsy that revealed cancer in my lymph nodes. I am currently taking daily DMSO, vit C and vit B17.  It's a 40 day protocol. I have 18 days left then I will get another PET to check progress so time will tell what my results are.  I also take a number of supplements.

Hi impositive - I wanted to thank Paypaya for her info and answer. I lost the thread and found it finally after figuring out how my home page actually works. I am going for Vit D infusions as soon as I can make arrangements as I think it's probably my best options. I hope you don't mind me being a part of this thread but I'm new to alternative. Not to healthy as we eat and drink organic here but to the infusion side of things.

The cost in NZ is exorbitant and I am wondering of the benefits exceed the cost.

According to my oncs, vitamin C in high doses blocks the effect of the radiation. Please check with your regular doc, before continuing.

I have to say, I found the info on mistletoe injections very impressive.  Not so much with the Vitamin C.  It seems like I have known too many women that did Vit. C and still progressed.  Mistletoe is about $200 a month if you are doing it 3 times a week, which is standard.  Vit. C is between $85-$120 an infusion and you generally have to go once a week.  So budget $400/month for that.  I'd choose the mistletoe.

Here in ontario. I too in 1998 refused chemo. had the radiation and tamoxifen , years later hysterectomy, femara (which I stopped after 2 years) . I was doing really well until diagnosed in october with a small positive tumour on the same left breast roughly the same location. Trying to figure out what to do now. Doctor wants a mastectomy. I would still refuse chemo but I know the most important thing is my attitude. Frustrated but dont believe in recurrance , its just that I got it again due to stress in my life and not taking care of my health and not exercising. Not sure of what to do now but so believe in using alternative methods along side conventional medicine

I was diagnosed with DCIS April 2015. I refused the standard treatment. I instead thought I had a littlel time and went for the vitimin C infusions. I went once a week, more or less for 3 months. last week I went back for a mammogram to see if anything changed.

I received a clean mammogram. Meaning there was no sign of the DCIS cells and all the calcifications my dense breast tissue had is now gone.

I have postponed all surgeries and I will resume my low dose HRT for my hot flashes and monitor my blood levels monthly and in 4 months I'll take a MRI to just make sure all is well.

I am new. Already operated and about to go into radiation. Started on hormone therapy after much fuss and iffy about it...

Would just like to know, since 5 to 7 years has passed since this topic was started if any of you feel that Vitamin C effectively helped you into remission...

The literature online, especially since it has been resuscitated over the past two years is encouraging, but much is also contrasting.

Also much is focused on stage iv patients of various types of cancers. Mine is early stage.

Wanted to hear some real life experience.
