Starting a bilateral mastectomy club?

I started this topic on the Comments, Suggestions and Features forum but I think it may be in the wrong place.

I was dx in 2008 and had bilat mast at that time.  I have seached this website for bilateral mastectomy clubs or organizations and so far found nothing.  I also searched the 'net, but not being a techno wizard I probably missed something. I don't want to recreate the wheel -there may already be something out there for us doubles. I'd like to know if there is! If not here is my suggestion.

Would it be a good and useful thing for those of us with bilateral mastectomies to have a club/organization specific to our needs?  Everything from buying clothing to swimming in public pools could be discussed.  I'm thinking that it would be fun to have a retreat just for us...be in a place where we can be comfortable--  with our w/out our prosthetics.  I have not met anyone in person who has had a mastectomy...I'm sure they are out there but we don't wear signs :)  Email and online contacts are fine, but I still think it's great to talk to each other face to face.

I don't have wonderful organizational skills and have no idea how to put this together, or even if anyone is interested.  As I mentioned in my post on the other forum, this idea came to me when I was struggling with my prosthetics in a washroom at a campground.  I was thinking how it would be to be surrounded by women who have the same thing, swap ideas, laugh, cry, whatever. I don't know about you, but I received very little support (no pun intended) after my surgery, and still only possess two bras, one nightgown with built in prosthetics and that is it.

I live in BC, Canada.  This suggestion is open to women all over the globe.  What do you think, ladies?
