Ride Cincinnati Sunday, June 13 for Breast Cancer Research
Title of event: Ride Cincinnati (Fourth Annual Event) Ride Cincinnati is an annual noncompetitive, family-oriented pledge cycling event benefiting local breast cancer research conducted at the UC Barrett Cancer Institute at University Hospital.

Event Times: The first course group leaves Sawyer Point at 6:30 a.m. and other departure times continue through 9 a.m. depending on the length of course the cyclist wants to participate in.
Celebration Party at Yeatman's Cove at Sawyer Point for registered riders and their families is from 9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Ride Details: There are a wide variety of Ride Courses and Distances ranging from 8.2 to 62.8 miles, with start times staggered throughout the morning of June 13 from 6:30 a.m. through 9 a.m.
Special Children Events: Children up to age 8 can participate in a one-mile Kids Bike Rally, starting at 10 a.m., and ride through Sawyer Point. After the Kids Bike Rally, each child will receive a participation medal and take part in free celebration activities including balloon artists, magicians, a jump house, food and music.

This year’s Ride is scheduled for Sunday, June 13.
Cyclists of all ages and skill level participate in the Ride that begins at Yeatman’s Cove at Sawyer Point, crosses over the Purple People Bridge, and then meanders through scenic routes in Northern Kentucky, returning to the celebration at Sawyer Point.
In its first three years, the event has raised a total of more than $500,000 for breast cancer research projects and the goal this year is to increase the size of the event and the total dollars raised.
Ride Course: There are a wide variety of Ride courses and distances ranging from 8.2 to 62.8 miles with start times staggered throughout the morning of June 13 from 6:30 a.m. through 9 a.m. A family-type festival for all registered riders and their families continues at Sawyer Point from 9:30 – 1 p.m.
Ride Distances: Ride distances range from 8.2 to 62.8 miles.
All routes start at Yeatman’s Cove, but at staggered times throughout the morning:
• 6:30 a.m.— 62.8-mile ride
• 7:30 a.m.—45.2-mile ride
• 8:30 a.m.—26- and 18.4-mile rides
• 9 a.m.—8.2-mile ride
Children Events: Children up to age 8 can participate in a one-mile Kids Bike Rally, starting at 10 a.m., and ride through Sawyer Point. Celebration Party: All registered riders are invited to attend a post-event celebration, where there will be live music, entertainment, massages and complimentary refreshments.
Prizes: The adult participant who raises the most personal sponsorship money will receive a Trek 1.5 bike, courtesy of Trek Bicycle Store of Cincinnati. Children are also eligible for prizes based on fundraising goals.
Ride History: Ride Cincinnati was founded in 2007 by Harvey Harris, DDS, his family and two friends, Ronald Stern and Craig Cowit - all had been touched by the impact of breast cancer. The event is dedicated to the life of Marlene Harris and all women who have been affected by breast cancer.
