Tamoxifen/ Period/ Cramps/ Major PAIN

I have been on Tamoxifen since January and just got my period for the first time since last August.  It is the worse period I have ever had!  I have cramps so bad I feel like I am in labor!  The flow is disgusting!  Has anyone experienced this?  This is Day 5 and there is no sign of it letting up.

Well after 3 YEARS of chemo induced "no periods" and being on Tamoxifin for 2 1/2 years.......imagine my surprise (and disgust) when yesterday at work I started a period!!! Immediately called my OB/GYN; saw him yesterday and am scheduled for en ultrasound and endometrial biopsy on 6/10.  He wants to make sure there are no polyops, or any sign of precancerous cells (or cancerous) in the uterus.We discuss that if it's just oh well, my periods are back......guess what we're doing in the fall?? getting everything out! Not only do I have my personal history of BC, but my maternal grandmother died of ovarian cancer at age 54. So I'm all for getting all that crap out of me anyways! Hope yours lets up (and that I don't bleed for that long) and you feel better soon!
