Nipple Taping during Rads/Sensitive Nipples

Just thought i would mention that i had a very sensitive nipple after my first week of rads... My rad oncologist recommended that the technician tape my nipple before every treatment... Basically they used a light masking tape (2 pieces making an x)... It has definitely helped with the sensitivity... Just thought i would mention this in case anyone else is experiencing the sensitivity early on...

    I have completed 12 of 21 radiation treatments and the nipple is very sensitive. I will mention the masking tape technique  to the tech on Tuesday. Your posting was timely, thanks.

     Just wanted you to know that the taping did help...I finished 6 weeks of rads last week and i am feeling well... Good luck to you
