What does this mean????

My sister was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer 3 months ago. It had spread to bone, spine, arm lymph nodes and chest. She is HER 2 positive. She has been on tamoxifen, herceptin and zometa. Today, after 3 months of treatment, the PET Scan showed no cancer. What does this mean??????

    Well, to me it sounds like the cancer responded to the treatment!  Good news!

    Yes, it sounds like she's responding well to treatment, but if you have questions, have you thought of asking your sister to sign the HIPPA forms so you can talk to her dr's office, or maybe you could go with her to one or more appointments? Depends on your sister's level of comfort with that but it would allow you to get your questions answered.
