The NY Times has a photo essay called "Picture Your Life After Cancer." The photos are moving but the stories with each one are even more so. Some are inspirational/uplifting and some are brutally honest and sad. I hope it raises awareness among people who don't have cancer at just how hard this disease can be -- I think the public tends to focus on the strong-survivor-life-is-grand stories and not hear about the difficulties. Life IS grand, don't get me wrong; but I love the honesty people bring to their stories. There's also a link so you can add your own photo and story if you wish. Thank you, NYT.
