really strange symptoms - carotidynia?

Options

I've had weird things going on and based on my research they are all symptoms of carotidynia - an inflammation of the carotid artery.  I started having a return of my left-side migraines which had been gone since chemo knocked me into early menopause. Then I develped nasal congestion, coughing, bad neck pain on the left side, tender pulsing twitching left carotid artery, and when I feel the left vs the right artery, the left artery is definitely bigger and pulsing harder. All these are symptoms of carotidynia.

From everything I've read, the causes can vary widely, and I'm not finding any associations with breast cancer that has spread. My oncologist had checked my lymph nodes at a check up a week before this all started and all felt fine. But I can't help but be concerned that this may be somehow related to the cancer and am worried sick. All the time.

I just saw the oncologist back a few weeks ago because I was having back and rib pain which we are attributing to post mastectomy/lat flap reconstruction, but I was freaking out at the time and convinced it was something awful. I am worried he will think I'm a hypochondriac if I go back just 3 weeks later with a new ailment. I am worried that he will find something wrong. I am worried that maybe these are symptoms of something like an impending stroke.

Has anyone had anything remotely like this?
