pain after incision biopsy

I had my biposy with the an incision and then slicing away 4 pieces of tissue. I felt 2 of the 4 slices eventhough they admiinstered pain killing drugs twice. Oh well, now I am still having some pain and  discomfort over a week later. is this normal. it isnt just tender but i get some occasional pain.

I had a core biopsy and I had no pain right after, but a week later I started to have some pain.  The docs told me this was normal.
