Radiation Lumpectomy - start 8 days after surgery OK?

I had second follow up surgery Tuesday May 4. The pathology showed no DSIC, the first had. The wound healed remarkably quickly and I have no pain today Sunday May 9. I actually have appointment scheduled tomorrow to do Radiation measurements and start radiation on Wednesday May 12. Are there any reasons/experiences that this is not recommended?? I want to start asap to get the radiation finished by June 19 where I am traveling for 3 weeks, and the Radiologist says it should be fine.
