Yeah, they are good pups. Today was an initial fitting to see how they'd act when put into them. We plan on cutting out more ventilation holes for warmer weather. It would be great if this works for them, as plenty of dogs ride on carriages but I am fearful of these two getting loose or possibly getting a paw or nose caught somewhere in an excitable moment. If we can keep them cool, secure and happy this is a good way for them to ride along. They *love* being on the carriage and watching the scenery, but I always worry they might get loose. Since I have to keep 99% concentration on the horses knowing the pups are safe and secure is a big load off my shoulders.

Heidi, That is so cute!  I hope it works out for them because I bet they really enjoy riding- wonder if someone makes "child seats" for dogs?

I love all cats and dogs but have a special place in my heart for Boston Terriers.  When I was a 9 yr old kid, a 15 year old Boston stray with heart problems & epilepsy became my best friend. We took him in; he took several pills a day along with his food. Unfortunately, his leg was broken when he had a seizure (his meds didn't completely control his seizures) and my mother backed over his leg with her car - she didn't see him.  He survived that and had a pin put in his leg but he never used the leg again but it never slowed him down. He ran - fast! - huffing and puffing with three legs and would chase much younger, larger dogs any chance he got!  He was such a character and I loved him so. I think he lived to be about 17 or 18.

Heidi - You may have just revolutionized carseats for toddlers!  Great idea.

Heidi...seriously..I love how you take care of your pups and Russell...and all the other animals you take care of.....I think you take pretty good care of US on here too..thanks!

Oh..the Indians play the Sox tomorrow...what can I say but GO TRIBE!

I can't actually get  under my porch..it is concrete..actually the snake is living under the wooden steps...We let our cat out today on the porch and he saw the snake and he went nuts..needless to say we put the cat back in the house...Ok..I will try to get a picture of the snake for you...actually I think we may have more than one...one lives in the front and one lives in the back..

Dlcw...at least you can take something for the ER positive part...certainly can understand the part about 3 years out from Tn could be a good thing and then findinig out you are ER postiive and you may have to worry a little bit longer..but in the long run being ER positive is probably a good thing...

Wonder if those would work as "cat carriers" also...it's such a chore chasing down the cats to go to the vet.

TiffanyF4-thanks for the encouragement.  Maybe I WILL be a grandma someday after all.

HeidiToo- too funny!  I can'believe my bichons would sit there so nicely in those carriers.  I think they would be telling me off the whole time.

dlcw-of course you are upset with your pathology report.  You were a brave soldier and got through it once and now here it is again.  Definately, the nightmare we all have.  No one wants to do it the first time let alone 2X.  My heart goes out to you.  You can do it.  You know you can.  I am sorry that you need to.

I had my hair colored Saturday and I really like it,though I still don't feel like me.  I've always had long hair or one-length hair.  Just not 1/2 inch one-length hair!

I finished my last radiation treatment in Mid March.  I'm still crying at the drop of a hat.  Is this normal?

Cute PUPPIES!!!! You are making me want one.

Cheer up ladies. We have to rally together, keep hope alive, and keep fighting for better tx options. I am tired of crying. Hey I am 8 months out today and on that note I am going to smile!

Heidi that's a great idea!  A lot less expensive than the harness contraptions, and it gives them some protection if the weather is a little chilly.   If they are anything like my frenchies, they aren't much for the cold.

Thanks everyone for understanding - I was just being sensitive, no harm was intended in the thread and all is good.  But it was good to take a break this w/e and do some yard work.

I'm getting another brain MRI today at 3:15, ugh.  Had a clear one 3 months ago, but have had vertigo-type crap for the past week and it isn't easing up.  Better to catch it early if there is something, according to my MO.

Heidi - those are awesome doggie-holders!  And great looking dogs Smile.  I hope they enjoy their riding!  As for snakes...my son walked into the house last week holding a foot-long garter snake, and my mom freaked out, lol.  He was unfazed even when it bit him.  Such a nature boy.  Snakes don't bother me - poisonous ones are extremely rare in our area.

dlcw - I see where you are coming from with this new wrinkle in your diagnosis Cry - like you are hearing it all over again.  Hugs to you.

Suze:  I still cry at the drop of a hat but now I cry more when I am happy, too--we are forever changed after BC and I think it's natural to grieve our losses but to also embrace life.  Hugs and hoping the best for your MRI today!!!

Suze, fingers crossed for good results on your MRI.

I've been having some dizziness issues but I'm trying to follow the 2 week rule and see if it passes. It's been a week so far - also reading that low vit. D (which I have) can cause this too.

I find I get a lot more light-headed and dizzy after BC. My knees ache more too. I can no longer tolerate too much heat either (In the past heat would trigger a migraine so I try to avoid it).

Because of my post BC tx seizure last year I am very sensitive to "weird" feelings in my body. I don't ever want my brain to short circuit again. I was out for over an hour and ONCE is enough!

I hate "living on the edge" like this; wondering if I'll have a repeat of anything. Before, I would ignore the occasional dizzy spell and just keep going. Now, not so easily ignored or explained... especially since they occur with much greater frequency. My feet cramp now too... never had cramps before BC and chemo...never.

I don't expect my doctors to be able to explain any of this. I just take it for what it is...post BC residual after effects. It's too coincidental to be anything else IMO.

Thanks everyone. I'll get the results tomorrow AM, but the techs were all nice and normal, and I didn't get any "uh-oh" vibes, for what it's worth. Hope that's good.

Heidi - I can only imagine how sensitive you are to this type of stuff after a seizure! My knees also give me lots of trouble now, I just feel so much older. I thought I'd be living scan to scan, but now it seems to be symptom to symptom, I hate it. I feel like the little boy who cried wolf, only this wolf is real and lurks around the chicken coop, waiting for an opening.

Fighter - I'm actually 41, lol. 35 was how old I was the very first time I had to create a use name. I tend to recycle names. But let's call it the age I WANT to be!

Summer - I gave up on the two week rule with this, I just felt so off. My MO was great, said no reason to suffer with worry, and bam! MRI. Pulling the bandaid off quick, so to speak. I hope your lightheadedness resolves soon.

Suze - I'm sending you good vibes for good results tomorrow!

Ladies - Hi..I haven't had much to report lately but I've been watching your posts. I hope everyone is having a nice day.  It's our Victoria Day holiday today and I spent the day in the kitchen making three different soups to freeze.  It was rainy and overall kind of crappy so it worked out well. The sun's out now so I'm going to take me furry friend for a walk.

I'm wondering about the light headedness too. If I get up from a lying-down or even from a sitting position too quickly, I get a bit light-headed/dizzy and sometimes see blackness. My GP said it's a common condition of getting older - lol NOT! - and can be caused by low blood pressure which I have. I used to get it on occasion, but since my treatment, I get it much more frequently. So I do think there are residual effects "they" don't mention.

Suze, fingers crossed for a good result. Great that you could get in quickly.

I took a break from here for a few days, after all the sad news. I felt obsessed by negative thoughts. But I have to admit, Heidi, when I came back and saw those dog and cat photos, I laughed out loud. Thanks for that - what a valuable post!!

Heidi:  OMG you made my day!

Suze:  Hoping your MRI is clear and that it's just another of the long list of "after" effects of chemo.

Me, my thumbs no longer work and my hands go numb.  For a very long time I also had trouble breathing normally due to a reaction to my last Taxotere infusion.  If I am not moving for a long period of time and try to get up, my joints everywhere feel like I am 99 years old and have just been run over by a truck.
