Great news MBJ!!!!!!!! Doing The Happy Dance for you!
-
MBJ: So happy for you!
-
Yaaay MBJ great news.!!!
-
Oh MBJ I am so thrilled for you! Our Prayers were heard ladies.
-
You guys are the best!!!
To see a clear mamogram was just an awesome feeling and I could just hear the joy in the radiology tech's voice when she told me it was just liquified fat and some lumpy fat--Who knew I could be happy about some fat!! Happy day indeed!!!! It's good to be alive.
Suze: Thinking of you today!
-
MBJ: I am sorry you had to go through a scare and I am glad everything's good now!
Suze: Hope all goes great today!
-
MBJ: This news truly makes me ecstatic! I knew you were sweating bullets and all the things that were going thru your mind. The Easter Bunny gave you your egg early this year!
-
Good thing it was a sweet egg, lol!
-
That's fantastic, MBJ!! I'm so happy for you.
-
MBJ - leave it our female bodies...we work so hard to get rid of the fat, it just HAS to find a way back, lol. So so happy for you!
I'm doing really well tonight, surgery at 9:00, home by 5:00. Pain is more muscular - BS had to pull one node close to the collarbone, plus the other one. She still thinks it was Level 2, but tough to say. Plus she had to cut a nerve. I'm just glad I am FINALLY cancer free for now, and can go into rads with lots of hope. Any stragglers are toast! BS was a bit more optimistic this AM, she told me know one knows where they fall in the statistics, and her job is local contol. I can dig that.
Everyone, thank you for the well wishes. It has been a rough, emotional road for me, and you guys have been there, totally understanding. Thank You!! -
Hey Riley..how are you doing? Still love that avatar..I know I say that all the time but I love cats and your avatar makes me smile...
MBJ...see...fat isn't all that bad! Sorry to say but we all have fat floating around in our bodies...it's kinda weird to think that but fat is GOOD compared to the alternative.
Hey Suze..how are you doing? Check in when you can..ok?
-
Titan - we crossed paths lol, I'm doing pretty darn good. I'm even guardedly optimistic!
-
Yes we did Suze! I think you have every right to be guardedly optimistic..why not?
-
You are right Titan! I want to be realistic, but hey, I'm alive and clear now, and will do everything I can to stay there. My MO still insists on a 50/50 shot, which is pretty darn good considering the circumstances. I'll just be that outlier
!
-
Suze35,
Glad you're doing so well.
-
Suze- Glad your home and on the road to recovery!

Hello Ladies!
Been a while since I posted...I try to read along when I get time.
I'm still doing chemo (last Taxol on April 28th) and I'm not sure when radiation will begin.
I'm anxious for hair to come back (of course) and I'm tired a lot. But the Taxol is way better for me than the A/C was.
-
Suze35- Very happy that surgery went well and that you are well too. (((Hugs)))
MBJ- YEAH!!!!!!!!!
slcst12- Hang in there. Almost done...............I was amazed (and still am) of how fast hair grow when chemo is finished.
Have a great day ladies.
-
slcst12,
I took AC+T chemo with Avastin and was exhausted 24 - 7.
-
Question:
Anyone experienced red eyes after chemo. Called chemo nurse and she said to take claritin, but I feel crazy taking claritin because I don't have alleries. Any suggestions?? I am going to call back and ask another nurse opinion after I research a little more.
-
Fighter_34
No.
-
slcst12 - yay on being almost done with chemo! You'll be amazed how fast your hair comes in. You might not notice it now, but it is already probably starting. When I did Taxol/Carbo, I could feel more fuzz coming.
Fighter - No, I didn't have that problem. Maybe give the Claritin a try - can't hurt.
I'm in a bit more pain than last surgery - having to use my Vicodin a bit more. That nerve she cut really hurts when I move my arm the wrong way, kind of a burning feeling. But the BS only cut about 1/3 of my incision open, and gave me one drain, so I should be good to go for rads in two weeks - fingers crossed!
My spring bulbs are coming up - I'm so happy the chipmonks didn't find them! We planted tulips and daffodil. I also spent 15 minutes out in the sun yesterday, trying to get that natural Vitamin D. One day at a time.
-
Suze35 glad to hear from you.
I know the feeling I still feel where my SNB was performed. Feels like a dull pain that comes and goes. Like I need a constant remember right? Oh our journey. Rest up and get ready to knock out the remaining nothing. You read right I am claiming nothing and they are only doing it to safeguard you.
-
Suze: So glad to hear everything went well and you sound in really great spirits! Today is a good day!!! Heal up and take it easy for a couple weeks and you will be done before you know it.
Titan: I love when fat is good for a change!!
fighter: What I have noticed is that my eyes got very dry after chemo. I would try getting some eye drops--I use some 2 x a day, one drop, it's a lubricant and a whitener. This is what my eye doctor recommended. Also, my eyesite changed so maybe have your eyes checked out.
-
Suze: As always, give yourself time to heal. Soak up some of those gorgeous natural Vit D rays. The warmth can be a very healing and relaxing thing. Enjoy your flowers!
-
Suze35,
Daffodils smell so earthy. My crocuses are in full bloom.
-
MBJ I had the taxo-TEARS which subsided maybe it's a flare up. I will breakdown and run pass CVS on my home and try claritin.
What was the eye drop you used? I would like to run it my ONC staff.
Thanks in advance
-
Fighter: I had watery eyes during chemo-dry eyes after chemo. It's called Clear Eyes.
-
Fighter..I'm a little foggy about chemo..but I do remember I couldn't wear my contacts anymore..switched to glasses..my eye dr has said since that there is no reason I can't wear contacts now but they are still uncomfortable to me...I do think chemo can dry you up....and I'm not trying to be too personal but it can dry you up..like everywhere...if you know what I mean...
-
Hi Ladies - I'm back from Washington from the Cherry Blossom Festival. My sister and I had a wonderful time...I'm still tired from all the fun and our very late flight home on Monday night. I'm trying to catch up on this thread.
At a first glance, I see Suze has had surgery and is on the mend and MBJ had a scare and all is fine. Whew...I'm so glad to hear.
I hope you're all doing well. I'm off to bed early tonight. Take care!
