xray accuracy

Hi Everyone.  I had my first bone scan done at diagnosis, 4/2009 - all clear.  Since done chemo for my stage IIIb cancer ending last fall.   I have had a bothersome tail bone that will generate some pain, but not a lot. My PCP ordered an xray for my piece of mind.  It has come back as probable arthritis.  Of course, I wonder if an xray is enough?  My oncologist told me if pain is persistant (I don't even take alleve or tylonel, it's just that it's there at times, ya know?)  I can go for a bone scan, again.  Wondering if better just to wait awhile to see what happens?  Seems to be reading on line here that you just never can tell regardless of symptoms or not; yet my onco says we wait for symptoms.....Any pearls of wisdom?  thanks!
