Results Following Surgery

I just got my results back after the surgery. I had a mastectomy and removal of the sentinal nodes 5 days ago. It appears that there is no further invasive cancer and the intra-ductal one had not gone beyond the duct. Also, the nodes were negative. I've been told that I'll have to have hormone therapy.

I won't know all the details until my follow-up on Thursday. In the meantime, I'm looking into what I need to know about hormone therapy--side effects etc. In the meantime, I'm still working on healing and regaining strength, and, of course, coming to terms with having my remaining breast gone.
