An option to include age in the statistics

Hi everyone:

I'm new to this Board as my Mom who is 73, was just diagnosed.  I've gained a lot of information from reading posts here and I thank you.

Sometimes a doctor's treatment structure might be altered if someone is older.  For example, if  someone is 73 they might not choose double masc for ILC since the probability of recurrence in the person's remaining lifetime is much less than for a 30 year old.  For threads posted, I'm often left wondering how old all the people were when they had their treatment...was this treatment plan for a 30 year old woman or a 70 year old woman?  It just isn't feasible to email each person to ask their age.

Of course not everyone feels comfortable disclosing age, so it could be an optional statistic.Sometimes people include their age in their posting description, but not always.  I also think doctors use age as a treatment variable as well.    Perhaps having an option to include age at diagnosis along with ILC, IDC, ER+.etc. might help make information on the boards more transparent for the user for the future.

Kind regards,

Mercury
