Enlarged lymph node on "good" side
Hello, ladies. I have read your posts and found much comfort in your words since my dx in 2008, but this is my first post. I hope I'm in the right place. Last Friday was my third 6-month mammogram to my left (remaining) breast. Like many of you, I am a ball of anxiety in the days leading up to the test. My mamm is always followed by an ultrasound and sometimes an MRI. I also had a core biopsy done in '08 and all was well. So I was told by the radiologists that I passed the mammo and ultrasound, but my onc found a suspicous lymph node, about 1 cm in size. He wants me to see my surgeon to get it biopsied. I am TERRIFIED. I am just starting to feel like me again, and I am afraid to even hope for good things. Even my onc noted that I seem to get all the side effects possible from all the treatments. I have joined a local support group made up of wonderful ladies, but no one with my type of cancer. I wonder if any of you have had a similar experience? Thank you in adance for your help and support. Be well...

Hi Lydia,
I just read your post an saw that noone has responded. I just wanted you to know that I care and am concerned for you. I am kind of going through the same thing right now. I have several enlarged lymph nodes on my cancer side and I am also terrified. I had double mast with 7 nodes removed. 2 were cancerous. I don't want this to turn into about me. I just wanted you to know I care. Have you seen your surgeon yet? If so was anything determined> Please let me know. I will be thinking of you and saying a prayer.

HI,
I am in the lymph node waiting game as well and going nuts. I was dxed in 2004 with IDC stage 2, grade 3, 0/7 nodes, triple negative cancer, but BRCA2+, have had bilat mastesctomy with silicon implants as reconstruction as well as ovaries and such out.
Went yesterday afternoon for routine MRI for implant check. and they found several enlarged lymph nodes. Doctor called 4 hours later but did not get the message till after office was closed. So I had to wait till this morning to find out about the nodes. Now I have to wait till Friday to have a ultrasound guide biospy of the lymph nodes. Which means more waiting over the weekend. I am freaking out about this big time.
Wonder if others who have had bi-lats have had reoccurances in the node.
