New York, NY 10011 ....along with many many others but this comes into my Yahoo. I don't think I'd trust the reports from Medical News Today as the adverts are biased, misleading and ..... well stupid. The article I thought was fine...reported several sources ... but it seems that their advertising budget is desperate enough to accept SPAM for their journal. Consider that elsewhere on our threads today is posted that Wellpoint is dumping breast cancer patients from their subscribers behind the veil of a software program that red flags patients who may or may not have had prior knowledge of their condition BASED ON WHAT CRITERIA?!!!Now where, I ASK YOU, do you suppose these ladies can go for help during the limbo? Appeal to Wellpoint? I hold my tongue. This is an intentional dump of patients to realign their profit margins and shift patients to the state run High Risk pools that are being established. As for the VOTE HERE NOW button next to the picture of Obama in a surgery cap? What University did the designer attend? On line Fox U...go volpe go! I can assure you that it is not the design that was taught at Wharton School of Business. The design is pure bull merda! Malice with full intent to do harm. And what?.... next they'll blame their lack of ethics on the health care reform!!!! It's just business....RIGHT?!!!!! WRONG. At least I can say that it is not the business that I was taught.I know, I know ... I hear the stampede in the distance....it's not the silence of the lambs....and that's the problem. The stampede are the squeaky wheels driving the insanity of the ads.By the way...today I received a letter in the mail from Lazio Sanita' - Agenzia di Sanita Pubblica - Azienda USl Roma (Our public health system in the Region of Lazio, to tell me about the mobile mammogram program for women between the ages of 50 and 69. They reserved an appointment for me on May 8th at 3:40 pm in Bracciano (where I live). There is also an invitation on May 6th in the center of town for an educational presentation of Mammography screening. Yesterday I attended a meeting that Komen cosponsored to hear that the town is planning an educational program targeted to prevention for high school students, ie. smoking and alcohol consumption. This is our national health system."Never run faster than your guardian angel can fly"Marilyn
