second opinion on mastectomy slides

I had a second opinion on my path slides from my mastectomy done at MD Anderson.  The side that was suppossed to be the healthy side actually had atypical lobular hyperplasia in it. The first pathology after the mastectomy said nothing irregular found.  I read the report and it says the area extends within 0.1cm of the margin. So my question is should I go see my surgeon and ask if this area needs radiation or more surgery? My left side with the DCIS is fine, clear margins etc. But I am now worried about this right side. I do not want some abnormal cells hanging around and eventually turn into something. Any advice would be so greatly appreciated.

I didn't have a mast, but had surgery on both breasts.  I also have residual LCIS and ADH in the "bad" breast, and ADH in the "healthy" breast.  I know, it's creepy and frightening, but as I understand it they only worry about the DCIS when they consider whether the margins are clear.

They don't surgically remove the ADH (or LCIS) or do rads for it - as far as I'm aware, the choice is mastectomy or Tamoxifen.  Or nothing, I suppose.

Edite to add:  OOPS - sorry, you've already had a dbl mast.  I guess you could take Tamox....  I wonder if there are any other treatment options, or if there's really any reason to do anything if you've removed the breast tissue....I guess it's worth asking your Dr.

I am going to meet with an oncologist in a few weeks. I will ask. I just do not want anything lurking.. the fun never ends does it?
