My wife had a radical mastectomy and TRAM flap done in the summer of 2003. In the spring of 2004 she joined the West Island Dragons a dragon boat team made up entirely of breast cancer survivors (there are dozens of them all over the world). The dragon boat team goes to races all over the place and one year the big trip was to the championships in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The team is coached by an affable young man in his mid twenties who volunteers for the position. He is an experience dragon boater and could hire himself out to teams but does it on a pro bono basis for the team. On their first night in Vancouver the team took the young coach out for supper and decided to have a little practical joke. He had a couple of drinks (not drunk but close) and was in good spirits as the whole team trooped out of the restaurant.Suddenly he was surrounded by all the women of the team with the team captain suddenly explaining to him that they were all heading back to the hotel. A wet t-shirt contest had been arranged among the team members and he had been nominated to judge the competition. He was aghast - his eyes went wide as he searched around frantically for something to say. Finally the women let him in on it. According to my wife she had never seen a man so relieved to hear he wasn't judging a wet t-shirt contest.
