Radiation Pill???

Has anyone heard of a radiation pill given for stage 1 beast cancer? I thought radiation was a localized treatment. If you have heard of this could you tell me how it works and how long does the pill take to work verses the x-ray type radiation?

I've heard of it for Thyroid cancer. Perhaps it's something new? What kind of facility are you getting treatment at?

Or do you mean the radiation "pill" they put in your breast and leave for a few weeks?
