have a recurrence where their tumor markers were not elevated?

    No recurrances but with all 3 of my primaries my TM didn't go over 26.

    My tumor markers have never been elevated.  For some people, they are not reliable indicators.

    Same here.  When I was dx'd with mets last year, my blood work was perfect.  I had been having groin pain when exercising and had seen an ortho who dismissed it.  When I saw my onc the next month for a regular check-up, I mentioned it to her and she ordered an MRI just to see what was going on in an effort to help me figure out what doc I should see.  However, she assured me that my blood work was perfect, so she didn't expect it to be cancer-related.  We were both rather surprised when the MRI revealed a pelvic fracture due to mets.
