Joanne, I am so sorry to hear this news. Praying for a miracle for Michelle and that there will be an easy solution for Tammy. Praying for you and for the family. Such a tough time and such hard news but we will certainly be praying for both.

Joanne, adding my prayers for Michelle and Tammy to all the others. How awful to have all this happening and with a new baby to care for. My prayers are for your whole family. I'm asking our Dear Lord to put a hedge of protection around your family and keep that awful devil away and out of your lives. We still believe in miracles.

    Peace,

    Faith (in the future).

    Dear ladies,

I would appreciate your prayers for travel mercies as I go back home today. It is snowing now at my Mom's house and I know there were blizzard conditions a couple days ago where my home is. It is normally a three hour drive. I am praying that the roads will be clear and that my snow guy shoveled.

My BIL is having heart catherization( sp?) tomorrow and they are to be at the hospital all day. If there are any blockages those will be dealt with. The aneurysm he has in his heart is in an area that is already dead from a heart attack he had 20 years ago so the possibility of rupture is not a concern. He saw a specialist yesterday that he has been waiting to see for a couple weeks. They will decide if he needs a defib device after whatever they find and do tomorrow . I would appreciate your prayers for him as well. He needs the Lord and he is nervous about this.

I will continue to lift up Michelle and praying for a miraculous outcome.

I use my travel time for prayer so will be lifting all of you up.

    Love,

    Nancy

Nancy, hoping you are already home safe and sound. Our city has done a fairly good job of cleaning up the roads but who knows how the major highways are. If you are still driving, I'm praying for safe travels for you and a very successful surgery for your BIL. Going to choir practice tonight and will lift up all your prayers.

Peace to everyone here. Still praying for Michelle and Tammy.

    Love and prayers for everyone,

    Faith (in the future).

    Dear sisters,

I made it home safely. The one thing I had NOT counted on was Cammie meowed for 70 min which was nerve wracking. She never does this. 10-20 max usually. I have been suspecting she might have a bladder issue so will maybe have to deal with that this week.

Thank you for your prayers. The snowplows did a great job both on highway and in town and my snowplow guy apparently came late last night according to my neighbors who were going to shovel if he didn't . So now I can relax a bit. God has allowed real peace on the way home and I am so grateful for that. Thank you for your prayers. I was able to pray for all of you as well.

My BIL was getting very nervous about tomorrow and when the nurse called him today he was able to talk to the doctor who will be doing the surgery tomorrow. He was on speaker phone so my sister could hear what he had to say. Whatever he said put my BIL more at ease about tomorrow. My sister and I were texting so I didn't get to ask too much.

Thank you Chris and Faith and others behind the scenes for your prayers. Faith, stay warm. It is COLD tonight. Chris, has your fatigue improved any? I know when I had pneumonia it took me a while to get over the fatigue factor. I didn't have bc then but I was still recovering from my neck surgery.

    Love,

    Nancy

My last post didn't post. Just know I was praying too, Nancy, and am glad you're back safely and had God's peace on the way. Poor Cammie...hope she gets over her problem soon.

Still lifting up Michelle for a miracle so badly needed, and Joanne and the family.

    Blessings upon your night, Sisters,

Dear Lord, we lift Joanne and Theresa, Dan and family up to you right now and we pray that You will grant them the strength and faith to endure this terrible trial. May they feel Your arms holding them up and Your lovingkindness surrounding them. We ask, if it be Your will, for a complete healing miracle for Michelle, that she be made well and whole again. We have the faith as a mustard seed which can move mountains and nothing is impossible with or for You. We place Michelle in Your loving hands and ask these things in Your precious Name. Be glorified in all things. Amen

I fell upon this thread by accident as I was looking for something else on here. I am new to this cancer stuff. I was diagnosed 21 days ago and I felt like I was in a dark room with no doors trying to claw my way out when I found out but then with the help of my prayer warriors, I wiped my face and just looked up. I can say that I have come a long way in the last 21 days and yes I still have cancer but I almost feel like my old self again but with more insight like never before. I have always loved God but would put him on the shelf and take him down when I needed him. A few years back I felt like something was missing so I searched for it in bad things and I remember a person at a party reading my cards looked at me and asked if I use to go to church or something because it was right there that I was seeking it again. I laughed it off and went about my life, got divorced, married a non believer and then my health started going crazy with a hysterectomy and had my thyroid removed which slowed me down immensely and now as I look back I believe God was seeing if I would take him off the shelf and just die to myself already. Well I did come back but I was still wishy washy and would put him back on a shelf when my husband got home and on the weekends because I didn't want to show this to my non believing husband because I wanted to be the "fun wife" not the "church wife" I kept it all separate from him and conformed to him. Well since this diagnosis I have changed all that, no more playing! I am going to glorify God all through this because I want my husband to see it. I don't hide it anymore and I have some work to do. Work that I should have done years ago but I was always a stubborn child so God knows what he has to do to wake me up. God gave me a verse when I finally cried out to him and it's a verse that I take with me to all my appts and carry it in my heart. Jeremiah 30;17

    Thank you for this thread

Ade, Amen to your prayer for Theresa, Joanne, Michelle and family.

Joanne, know we will collectively be wrapping our arms around Michelle, Theresa, you and DH and all the family. I know that in a crisis like this God can show up in amazing ways and I pray that He will do that for all of you TODAY.

    Wine,

I am glad you found this thread. For many of us we feel it was divine leading us to this thread as it is buried in others even if you were seeking a thread like this. I am sorry that you have had to seek out this BCO site as not of us would have preferred to join this club. I know for myself God showed up during my cancer journey in amazing ways. The fact that He is giving you verses is awesome. I copied the verse you mentioned so others could easily see what it is.

My prayer for you is that God will do a mighty work in you and make great things from a bad situation. Romans 8:28 has become my life verse while going through bc and it still is. Save this thread as a favorite and then you won't have to go searching for it as I did in the beginning.

Feel free to jump in and join this wonderful group of Christian women.

    Love,

    Nancy

Jeremiah 30:17 King James Version (KJV)

I heard from Joanne late tonight and she gave me permission to share. I am hesitant as I had some questions on intent on some of it. Michelle according to the doctors if she lives will be certainly not the person she was before. I am sure this is a very heart wrenching decision. I know the family is exhausted and there is just so may days you can go through this without endangering your own health.

Joanne has prayed with Michelle and I firmly believe that she can hear those prayers. Emma's fathers family are taking care of Emma and they are in the medical field which is helpful.

These kind of heart wrenching life events can make some question God. They can make some mad at God and for nonbelievers it is a way to prove that God really doesn't care about us at all. We as believers know that we may go through some very tough times on this earth and we believe that God can use these events for good even thought the present suffering seems like it is too much and we will break under the pressure. He can use these things for eventual good if we can fully trust in Him.

We all have heard stories where the doctor said one thing and the patient proved that God had other ideas. I am praying to that end for Michelle.

Continue to lift all of the family up as waiting around the hospital for long periods of time can be so draining and exhausting.

Hang in there Joanne as I know this is really tough for you to try to be the strong one in your family when you need someone to lean on sometimes too.

I am praying everyone gets a good night's sleep tonight.

    Love,

    Nancy

    Well put, Nancy.

Joanne that song has such meaning, especially for you now. Please know that James and I are lifting you all up in prayer several times a day (and I - many times fervently). More sisters and brothers in the Lord than you could know are now praying.

Joanne, thank you for the song. We continue to pray for you and your family to know God's peace and saving grace. We know God can make beauty from the ashes. During these times I go to Psalm 121

1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—
    he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord watches over you—
    the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.

7 The Lord will keep you from all harm—
    he will watch over your life;
8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going
    both now and forevermore.

I want to piggyback on the posts for Joanne. Joanne, that song you posted is very powerful and I hope it gives you comfort. As I was reading in my devotional this verse seemed appropriate and echos what Chris has posted.

Isaiah 40:11 New International Version (NIV)

11 He tends his flock like a shepherd:
He gathers the lambs in his arms
    and carries them close to his heart;
he gently leads those that have young.

As I read that last phrase I thought yes, He is already doing that with little Emma knowing her Mama is not able.

I join Ade and James and all the prayer warriors on this thread either behind the scenes or actively posting as we storm the gates of heaven on Michelle's behalf. We ask that God surround you (Joanne's family) with such unbelievable peace and strength that there will be no doubt who your source is.

I absolutely believe that Michelle can hear your prayers and hear the Christian music and the Bible verses you are showering her with. We may never know just what goes on in these situations in Michelle's world right now but I do believe that God is greater than whatever the doctors may say. Just keep showering her with love and hope.

I will be resuming my swimming today and will be praying.

    Love,

    Nancy

Joanne, just wanted you to know that I continue lifting my prayers for Michelle and your family many times throughout the day. Praying that our Almighty powerful Lord will put a hedge of protection around all of you. I believe that all of us here know that God can work miracles in His own time. I pray that time is soon for all of you.

    Sending love and prayers,

I have been quiet in here, but am reading and praying for Michelle and others in need of prayer. Joanne, the Lord gave our family a miracle last year when my brother-in-law was in a motorcycle accident. They told us he wouldn't live through the night and 30 days later, came out of his coma, (had to have his foot amputated) and is now walking and doing well. I pray the same will happen for Michelle. Only God know what He has in store.

I have a prayer request of my own, My grandson, John Ross, 11 years old has severe psoriasis to the point the doctor wants to put him on a med that might not be good for him. Son-in-law is out of work right now and being on WA state healthcare, they can't go to his good dermatologist because he isn't on their plan. I guess they can only go to the doctors in their plan and it is illegal for any other doctors to treat him. The dermatologist they sent him to, knows nothing about pediatric psoriasis and daughter didn't feel comfortable about what she was saying. She couldn't even identify what was psoriasis on grandson. I just pray, that the Lord will send the correct doctor for him and he won't need the harsh medication.

    Good Morning Prayer Warriors,
I'm asking for prayer for there to be no health concern with the ultrasound I have to take today on my left ancillary lymph nodes after my recent mammogram showed the nodes look different in size from last years mammogram. They're not individually enlarged but they have increased in size from my last mammogram. I'm 57.

I'm the power of attorney for my mentally handicapped sister who is having a mastectomy in December to remove cancer. She's stage 1B cancer. My sister is 49 but is intellectually disabled. She doesn't understand her health crisis though my self, the counselor and the developmental disability nurses are trying to help her comprehend cancer and the surgery. I've been under a lot of stress trying to make the right decisions for her.

I need to be in good health so I can take care of my sister. Please pray that there is no area of concern for me and no indication of cancer in me after today's ultrasound. Pray that all the cancer is removed from my sister and that she require no chemo or radiation. I also pray that all the women in this breast cancer community be restored to complete health. Dear Lord, I pray for all these requests in the miraculous name of Your Son, Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen!

GmaFoley, I am so sorry to hear of the medical issues with your grandson, and am praying God works a miracle with the doctors and he can receive the right medicine and care.

Londa, I can't imagine the stress you are under with your sister and your own personal health. We serve a mighty God who understands and works miracles. Beyond that, He also loves and cares.

Sisters, I pray today that God brings peace to those in need, and help and resources in miraculous ways. I lost another friend yesterday to MBC...the list is so long! But God is the mighty comforter and "an ever present help in time of trouble." God bless.

    God is still in control.

He decides when and how we will come home to Him. We must ALWAYS remember that our true home is in Heaven with Him. So whether we live or whether we "transition" sooner than we might want to (or our family members transition sooner than we might want them to), we must accept HIS will and be grateful in all circumstances.

GM, praying that John Ross will be able to have access to a doctor that is well versed and capable of dealing with his particular situation.

Londa, I am praying that God will make a way for you in this very stressful time you are in with unknowns about your own situation and the treatments your sister will be having. I pray that your ultrasound results will be good so you can have the needed strength to help your sister. God will supply whatever you need, that I feel certain. He is with you right now as you go through the maze of unknowns.

Joanne, when I read your post earlier it just made my day. I continue to pray that Michelle will be a poster child to the miracles that God can perform and praying it will be such a witness to your family that they will realize that there is a God and their need for Him.

Chris, I am sorry for your loss. It is so hard. When we get to our final home there will be no death or pain or loss or suffering. In the meantime I pray God comforts your heart in your time of loss.

Lita, amen. I started your first book when I was downstate but found I didn't have a lot of time. I was able to read more now and to fall in love with the mighty and feisty Bullmina. Such a gift you have in authoring these books. I continue to pray for you as you deal with all the SE's I know you do.

I would appreciate prayers for me today. I am supposed to go to an event at my church tonight but I am feeling really dizzy today and I have a lot of ringing in my ears. I had hoped to take my camera along as it is a festival of lights both outside and inside with live reindeer and the whole nine yards.

Have a good weekend dear sisters.

    Love,

    Nancy

I am praying for all of you!

I didn't write this but thought it was really good -

"I was in Dollar Tree last night, and there was a lady and two kids behind me in the LONG line. One was a big kid, and the other one was a toddler. The bigger one had a pack of glow sticks, and the toddler was screaming for them. The Mom opened the pack and gave him one which stopped his tears. He walked around with it smiling; but then the bigger boy took it, and the toddler started screaming again. Just as the Mom was about to fuss, the older child bent the glow stick and handed it back to the toddler. As we walked outside at the same time, the toddler noticed that the stick was now glowing; and his brother said, "I had to break it so that you could get the full effect from it."

I almost ran, because l could hear God saying to me, "I had to break you to show you why I created you. You had to go through it so you could fulfill your purpose."

That precious child was happy just swinging that "unbroken" glow stick around in the air, because he didn't understand what it was created to do - which was "glow".

There are some people who will be content just "being," but some of us that God has chosen... we have to be "broken."

    We have to get sick.
We have to lose a job.
    We go through a divorce.
We have to bury our spouse, parents, best friend, or our child...

In those moments of desperation, God is breaking us. But... when the breaking is done, then we will be able to see the reason for which we were created. So when you see us glowing, just know that we have been broken but healed by His Grace and Mercy!!! 💛💜 "

    Ade

Ade, that is a powerful post which obviously God was speaking to you. No one wants to hear about being broken just like no one wants to hear about suffering but God does call us to that end if we really want Him to use us.

Joanne, it definitely sounds like the medical team have different takes on what is happening to Michelle today. I guess time will tell after they do these tests to see what really is happening. I will continue to pray as I have been doing.

Teka, how are you doing? I know you had a physical set back a few months ago. How are you doing now?

Have a good night dear sisters.

    Love,

    Nancy
