Zometa...and a root canal

hey all--

I finished rads december 16 --my onc and I decided to give my body a break and start Zometa in May. I also have a very busy, travel heavy job that I needed to get back to after 6 months of chemo etc (I still worked, just no travel). SO--I went for a dental check-up 2 days ago. And he said I have an "iffy" tooth that he normally would watch for 6 months or so but because of the impending Zometa he wants to root canal it now.

ARGH-- I was almost more upset by this news then my BC diagnosis!   seriously, I am panicking a bit. I know its silly but after what I've gone through this just seems so unfair. Please only respond with positive stories!

I have had root canals- and really, they are not bad at all.  Mine were done by an endodontist and he was so skilled--- I barely felt it..... there are usually two or three visits-- and they will give you something for pain-but I never needed it.  Dentistry has come along way.......
