So I don't know to post this on this forum or the Stage IV one. I am reading a book called "Last Acts, Discovering Possibility and Opportunity at the End of Life" by David J. Casarett, M.D.

He tells of stories of patients and their choices and variety of ways people choose to spend their last days. I am only halfway through and I find it is interesting reading. It is not sad or depressing but written from the point of view of an objective observer. Casarett specializes in Palliative Care.

A lot of us ask "What do I do now?" The purpose is not to give the reader an answer but has thoughtful observations regarding other peoples decisions good or bad at end of life.

I thought I'd share.

Thanks so much for the information.  I think this would help me after I get through my current reading-which is Jane Brody's Guide to the Great Beyond.  It is interesting, well writtten, and has some humorous cartoons.

I would love to read about what other people have done.  I have been wondering about this more and more.

Thanks again for sharing.  Hope things are going ok for you.  I haven't seen you post and was a bit concerned, so I was glad to see this.

Thanks Patti and Pookie -- I'll look for both books.
