Sore nipple 3years after treatment?

Had lumpectomy,chemo, and radiation i 2007, and have been fine since, but the last couple of weeks I have had a sore and a little swollen nipple on the treated breast, and I am a bit worried......anybody gone thrue something similar?

    Hi,

    I know this is an old post but I'm about 3 years out from the same treatment as you and my nipple has been sore and super sensitive.  The oncologist said that is normal and that I should never expect the radiated breast to be the same as it once was.  I find as time goes on it is shrinking and hard and sensitive to touch.  Oh breast cancer!....the gift that just keeps on giving.
